Delhi Public School lava conducted the Investiture Ceremony on 20 th July 2018. The School Cabinet was invested with its responsibilities in a formal and solemn ceremony.
Brig. Suhaas Madhukarrao Kulkarni, an alumnus of the Indian Military Academy, Dehrsdun was the Chief Guest. Mrs
Sujata Kulkarni also graced the occasion. The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Pradeep Kumar Rajgarhia, the Pro VC of the school. Mr. Gautam Rajgarhia, the Director of the School and Mr. Ashok Agarwala, the trustee, graced the
occasion with their presence.
The ceremony began with a prayer that invoked the presence of the almighty. The distinguished guests lighted the
auspicious lamp. Students’ rendition of the DPS Anthem infused the atmosphere with pride and a sense of belonging.
Brig. Kulkarni gave the badges to the new office bearers and Pro VC Sir handed over the flags – both symbolizing the responsibility invested in them and the faith the school has in them.
The Principal, Ms. Anupuma Sagdeo, administered the oath to the Student Council.
In his address, Brig. Kulkarni congratulated the new office bearers and the winners of the scholar badges. He extolled the importance of dedication, hard work and simplicity as he shared his admiration for Hima Das, the first athlete to win a gold medal for India at a major athletics event.
Mr. Pradeep Kumar Rajgarhia, the Pro VC of the school lauded the efforts of the winners of the Scholar Badges and their parents. He congratulated the new School Cabinet and said that true leaders are those who are caring, generous, can think beyond and think out of the box. He reiterated faith in them, that they will face every challenge and inspire others to do the same.
The Head Boy, Aarush Das Bansiwal and the Head Girl, Srishti Jahagirdar delivered their acceptance speech. They
pledged to uphold the ideals of the school and fulfill the expectations that the school and their schoolmates had from
Students who had excelled in the field of academics in the session 2017-18 were felicitated with scholar badges.
Parents of the newly appointed Prefectural Board and the recipients of the Scholar Badges were there to be a part of the glorious moments.
The students of Class VII anchored the entire ceremony with élan.
At the end, the National Anthem was sung with fervor and pride.
